Nepal's efforts to accelerate economic growth and reduce poverty are being hampered by political instability, poor infrastructure, and other critical obstacles, a new study has found.
Well the political instability situation is not going to solve soon ..All the 21 parties who are current supporting the Nepal government, wants to make bang for the Buck As soon as possible ..before the new government kick them out.same thing happens ever an over again ..
In my my understanding for the economic development of Nepal .Nepal needs to spend in infrastructure and create a out source farming in Nepal .
Ok, everybody know that investing in infrastructure or helping to boost the agricultural productivity will help the economic development of Nepal. But the big
question is where will the money come from ??
Investing in infrastructure will not only provide employment opportunity to thousand of young people .But will attract FDI ,especially in retail and consumer sector in a country of 28 million people with no supply chain infrastructure .
Current global economic crisis have not spare Nepal.Tourism looks bleak .. Nepal biggest assets export of human labor have declined .. oil prices are creeping up .. inflation for sure in long run ..Since India ko inflation Nepal ma 4 month jatti ma sarchaa ..joro jasto .. Nepali rs is going to appreciate via IRS .IF inflation in united states rises ..
Best way for Nepal right now is spend all the money the government have collected and ask help from our 2 neighbours ..
Last week Wall Street Journal printed a news saying BRIC is dumping $10 billion of US t-bill to buy IMF bonds ..Why are they dumping t bill and buying IMF bond .. to have more saying in the IMF .. IMF have started to give loans to developing nation with no string attach ( remember Mexico ) ..
There was a another article published in economist magazine about China and its soft power .. Soft power basically means china buying influence in Africa and some countries in Asia by giving them loans and grant..
There is a rhetoric that India and China have huge interest in Nepal.due to the geo-political situation so why don't we take the advantage ??
Asking for loan and grants is not that bad .If u r chanlleing it to a progessive idea ...
